Within the framework of the UEFA EURO 2016, Perron8 supported the EURO 2016 SAS in the planning and the implementation of the 10 official Fan Zones in France. Over 4 million football fans in total followed the matches in the Public-Viewing-Zones in France.

Perron8 supported and advised the UEFA and the UEFA EURO 2016 SAS on the planning and the realisation of the Fan Zones Project in France. The Perron8 team was responsible for the conception, planning and on-site installation of the UEFA Basic Public Viewing infrastructure.

The tasks were as follows :

→ UEFA Fan Zone project conception and project plan, UEFA Fan Zone project budget, UEFA Fan Zone project debrief, Fan Zone Guidelines

→ Branding concept, brand guidelines and brand templates, implementation of rights granted to UEFA sponsors

→ Definition Basic Public Viewing Infrastructure per Host City and integration into infrastructure to be delivered by Host City, contract management of supplier

→ Support Host Cities, on-site operations for all 10 Host Cities in France.

→ Over 4,100,000 football fans visited the official Fan Zones
→ 80,000 people attended the opening concert of the Paris Fan Zone with David Guetta
→ Approximately 10,000 m2 of branding material were produced by EURO 2016 SAS
→ 350 tons of scaffolding were used for the CUBES, additional screen constructions and delay towers
→ 1’300 m2 giant SMD video screens were used as main and additional screens
→ 50 specialised technicians and 10 UEFA Fan Zone Venue Manager were on hand every day during the tournament
→ 3 people in the central video production in Paris were involved in the Fan Zone TV Project
→ 150 video and animation clips were produced by the Fan Zone TV Team
→ Most of the Fan Zones were located at the very centre of the Host Cities
→ Fan Zone areas were fenced off and secured by stewards and police

David Guetta Show Paris

One day before the kick off of the UEFA EURO 2016, David Guetta inaugurated the Fan Zones in Paris with a spectacular show. 80,000 people celebrated this fantastic inauguration under the Eiffel Tower in the heart of Paris. 1.4 million football fans in total visited the Fan Zones Paris during the tournament.
